Milk replacer should have a semi-sweet flavor -not bad. These high fat content replacers have a tendancy to get rancid if old or stored under adverse conditions. I have had babies stop eating and develope diarrhes after opening a new bag- after 3-4 days of pulling my hair out I tasted it- definitly rancid. I sent some to a lab and they confirmed my suspicions. Since then I taste test every new batch I open and if I store it from year to year it is kept in a freezer.
